Urgent Need: Provide Gift Cards to Help Survivors and Their Children

Polaris Project is currently serving survivors of human trafficking who are in need of gift cards, such as grocery store and Target cards.  These cards will help them provide for themselves and their children while they are involved in Polaris Project Client Services programs, such as individual therapy, transitional housing, and job training.

By donating one or multiple cards of any value, you will be helping our clients meet their immediate needs, including food, clothing, and necessary apartment items.

Help Collect Clothes, Shoes, and Hygiene Kits for Polaris Project's Clients

Polaris Project’s local office staff conduct direct outreach to victims of trafficking and provide them with specialized services to help them rebuild their lives. With the majority of victims of trafficking identified outside of the traditionally 9am to 5pm work schedule, Polaris Project's Sex Trafficking Assessment Team (STAT) operates on a 24-hour a day basis to respond with law enforcement when a trafficking case is uncovered and to provide emergency response services to victims who have escaped their trafficking situations.

When Polaris Project responds to emergency situations, we have found that sex trafficking victims often do not have t-shirts, shoes, and hygiene products. If you can help to provide these items, your efforts and donations would be greatly appreciated!

Help Collect New Undergarments for Polaris Project's Clients

Many of our clients have survived horrific trauma from forced prostitution. The average age of entry into prostitution in the U.S. is 12 to 14 years old and over 200,000 youth are at high risk for commercial sexual exploitation each year. Polaris Project helps survivors of sex trafficking meet their basic needs of clothing, food, and transportation in addition to the more complex psychosocial needs. We try to always have a variety of clothing from which the women and girls can choose. While other items can be donated second-hand, for hygiene reasons, undergarments must be new. This means we are in constant need of donations of undergarments. You can help by donating new undergarments for our clients.
